® ASTM Level 1

                     Surgemask® ASTM Level 1 is a high quality medical grade triple-filtered surgical mask for surgeons that are comfortable to wear, not too tight on the ears. Non-irritating to the skin, available in 3 colors: green, blue and white. It protects the respiratory tract from germs, pathogens, liquids and dust to the highest standard.

                      Medical personnel need to wear masks as they are at a significantly higher risk as they come into contact with patients with covid and other airborne viruses and pathogens. Their patients also need to be protected. It is important to know that they and their patients are protected and Surgemask® ASTM Level 1 provides this protection.

                      During the global COVID pandemic where there are already a large number of people with respiratory infections everyone needs to wear a mask to reduce airborne infections. It is important to know how effective the masks we’re wearing are. ASTM or American Society for Testing and Materials has defined and classified the standard properties of medical masks, Medical Mask or Surgical Mask, based on the properties of medical masks. according to American standards or ASTM F2001-2019. 

                      1.Fluid resistance Effective protection against blood or secretions or any other liquids that splashes onto the mask and then penetrates into the wearer’s skin. Surge Mask has the highest protection at 120 mmHg which is the blood pressure level at Systolic Blood pressure and the protection 80 mmHg which is the blood pressure level at Diastolic Blood pressure and the protection 80 mmHg which is the blood pressure level at Diastolic Blood pressure

                      2.Differential pressure Efficiency of air flow measures breathing comfort. Whilst wearing the mask how many millimeters of water per square centimeter (mm H_2 O/ CM^2)

                    ASTM American Medical Mask Standard (ASTMF2100-2019 standard) must meet all four of the previous standards. So it can be classified as a level that will be in any level. There are 3 levels in total which are ASTM Level 1, ASTM Level 2, ASTM level 3. The best protection level is ASTM Level 3 Surgical Mask, the highest quality American standard ASTM level 3.

Good Properties of Surgemask® ASTM Level 1

         • It is an ear loop mask.
         • There is a 3 layer filter system.
         • More than or equal to 95% bacterial filtration efficiency of 2.8 microns, BFE ≥ 95%.
         • Effective in filtering dust particles of 0.1 microns size greater than or equal to 95%, PFE ≥ 95%.
         • Comfortable to wear, light, easy to breathe, tight and comfortable against the face.
         • Made of medical materials. Hypoallergenic. Does not contain rubber and does not cause allergic reactions or irritation. 
         • There is a sheet to prevent the penetration of blood and secretions outside into the mouth and skin with a resistance of 80 mmHg. ASTM level 1
         • Produced by automatic machines.

Surgemask® ASTM Level 1 is made from 3 layers of medical materials:

         1.The outermost layer is made of material. Spunbond Nonwoven Formed into sheets, coated with a hydrophobic substance which produces waterproofing, protecting the penetration of liquids such as blood splashes or other secretions. With resistance up to 160 mmHg., which is the same pressure level. with the blood pressure coming from the veins ejected directly from the heart

         2.The middle layer is made of Meltblown Nonwoven material forming sheets from plastic pellets directly as Spunbond nonwoven (Spunbond Nonwoven), but the fibers are finer than nanometers to micrometers. This type of fiber is not very strong but has good filtration properties. The material that Surgical Mask needs is able to filter more than 95% of bacteria at 3.0 microns (BFE ≥ 95% AFTM F 2101) and filters more than 95% of dust larger than 1 micron (PFE ≥ 95% ASTM F2299)

         3.The innermost layer that attaches to the skin is a Spunbond Nonwoven material, similar to the outermost layer it has the ability to absorb liquids which is important as talking contains water vapor. This layer does not contain substances that cause an allergic reaction or irritation.
